เกม Grey Goo เปิดตัวออกมาครั้งแรกเมื่อเดือนมีนาคมที่ผ่านมา
เป็นผลงานใหม่ล่าสุดจาก Petroglyph Games ทีมพัฒนาผู้อยู่เบื้องหลังเกมแนว
RTS ชั้นนำอาทิ End of Nations และ Battle
for Graxia อีก
ทั้งตัวผู้ก่อตั้งสตูดิโอยังเคยเป็นถึงอดีตนักพัฒนาเกมของ Westwood Studios
และเป็นผู้ให้กำเนิดแฟรนไชส์ Command & Conquer !!
เนื้อเรื่องของเกม จะถูกเซตฉากขึ้นในจักรวาล 500 ปีภายหลังมนุษย์ได้เดินทางจากดาวโลกบ้านเกิดออกสู่อวกาศ
ที่ซึ่งมีสามเผ่าพันธุ์ระหว่างพวก "มนุษย์" (Human), เผ่าเอเลี่ยนวิวัฒนาการสูง "เบต้า" (Beta) และเหล่าสิ่งมีชีวิตประหลาดคาดเดายากนาม "กู" (Goo) เปิดศึกทำสงครามต่อสู้กันเพื่อแย่งชิงสิทธิ์ในการครอบครองดินแดนสวรรค์
